THE EMPOWERMENT RETREAT

“STAND STILL. THE TREES AHEAD AND THE BUSHES BESIDE YOU ARE NOT LOST. WHEREVER YOU ARE IS CALLED HERE. AND YOU MUST TREAT IT AS A POWERFUL STRANGER, MUST ASK PERMISSION TO KNOW IT AND BE KNOWN. THE FOREST BREATHES. LISTEN. IT ANSWERS.”
– David Wagoner, Lost

The Empowerment retreat is a 5-day immersive and experiential program running from August 30 – September 3, 2024. The work helps participants more fully embody their capacities as coaches, deepening their abilities for listening fully, powerful conversations and living aligned with one’s core sense of purpose.

Participants are facilitated into direct wild world encounters in deeply powerful, surprising and transformative ways and the many activities include deep listening practices, mindfulness practices, conversations with the wild, somatic skills, and nature-based games all integrated with competencies-based coaching skills. Based on a Rites of Passage developmental model, the work opens powerful new ways for coaches to be able to engage their clients more effectively and effortlessly in their sessions while helping participants emerge with a renewed sense of self, place and mission in their lives.

Even though much of the retreat is dedicated to transformative learning experiences and training, we also have plenty of space for fun, play, relaxation and reconnection. Each evening we meet around the beautiful fire for connection, story, song and plenty of laughter. The program will be led by Rod Francis & Sherry Trebes. The Empowerment Retreat is part of the Emergent Coach Training program and earns participants up to 30 International Coaching Federation (ICF) Core Competency hours.

PLEASE NOTE: You must enroll to the program before reserving your accommodations.  To learn more or to enroll please click here.
