Schedule

Friday, May 17, 2024
* 3:00-4:00pm: Arrive, check in, settle in
* 4:00-4:45pm: Yoga (Rose Mary)
Focus: Welcoming the wise and whole you to the Retreat In this yoga practice we’ll welcome our bodies, minds and spirits to the Retreat. We’ll connect to the possibilities the weekend promises us and listen for the first whisperings of our wisdom as we trust it to guide us.
* 5:00-6:00pm: Welcoming Wisdom with Sound Meditation (Stephanie)
Focus: Creating Space.
We live in a culture that glorifies being busy. To build a stronger relationship with your intuition, your inner wisdom, you need to create space to listen. In this meditation, move from sound to silence developing your capacity to simply listen. Sound meditation transports you into a quiet still place where you can access your own wise inner voice. Immerse in the sounds of gongs, chimes, Quartz crystal bowls, Himalayan bowls, Ocean drum and more as you move from sound to silence.
* 6:00-7:00pm: Dinner
* 7:00-7:45pm: Community Welcome
Focus: Sacred and Wise Community
It’s powerful to have a sacred space. A place to connect with your intuition. A place to meet and celebrate your relationship to the higher aspects of yourself. We will gather on the hill at sunset to take in the wholeness of the land, of nature, of each other. Together we will explore the connections we share between us and the wisdom we all carry.
* 7:45 – 8:45pm Fire Ceremony
Focus: Clear and Whole
You have the power to clear your limiting beliefs and open to letting your intuition guide you. Gather by the fire and release that which holds you back from knowing your wholeness, your wisdom and walk your path filled with possibility.
* 8:45-10:00pm: Yin Yoga (Amanda)
Focus: Listen
Yin is a practice of surrender. Quiet the mind and body with long held stretches designed to bring the nervous system to a state of rest. The work of this practice is to simply listen to the body, notice the sensations, and move to the depth that feels appropriate for today.

Saturday, May 18, 2024
* 7:00-7:30am: Sunrise Yoga (Amanda)
Focus: Intuitive Movement
Greet the day with a series of “free flow” sun salutations to encourage creative expression. Students will be lead through traditional sun salutations in order to regulate the nervous system and connect with the breath. Variations will be offered, and students will be given options to break away from the sequenced postures and to move intuitively from a place of connection and awareness for what the body needs today.
* 7:30-8:00am: Morning Meditation (Stephanie)
Focus: Embrace Connection
Can you breathe into the interconnectedness within you and around you? Can you choose to nurture your inner world, others and the earth? When you allow yourself to be available to a higher wisdom, you recognize the beauty and good that is right here. Sacred connection is always available. Appreciate life and open to receptivity. Guided Meditation, reflection and journaling.
* 8:00-9:00am: Breakfast
* 9:15-10:15am: Meditation (Stephanie)
Focus: Your WIld & Wise Soul
You have a wild and beautiful soul. It’s unique and vibrant and has something to bring to this world that only you can bring forward. When you develop your intuition you can see how experiences in your life have benefitted you in ways not expected. You begin to trust the bigger picture of life. You are evolving and learning every step of the way. Trust in your wholeness and allow your wisdom to rise. Guided Meditation, reflection and journaling.
* 10:30-12:00pm: Posture Lab Yoga (Amanda)
Focus: Trust – Locust & Bow Variations
Locust and Bow “Trust”
In this posture lab we will explore locust and bow, both prone backbends, to uncover ways to build trust and create space in the mind and body. All backbends are “heart-openers”, and a beautiful, receptive heart requires a strong back, both physically and metaphorically. While this deep dive will educate students on the way the body needs to function in order to safely and effectively get into these (and other) backbends, we will also uncover the parallel between the physical and spiritual aspects of how being open, receptive & yielding also requires strength, stability, and healthy boundaries. Develop trust in your own intuition by building strength and awareness.
* 12:00-1:00pm: Lunch
* 1:15-2:30pm: Karma Yoga with Elohee (planting pollinator garden)
Focus: Be Open to Adventure
When we recognize our wholeness, there is a beautiful desire to give back to our world through acts of service and love. We will join Elohee in planting a pollinator garden for the grounds, for all the winged ones that support our earth through pollination. Bare feet and bare hands touching the ground. Touch the soil and connect to our wondrous earth’s wisdom.
* 2:30-4:30pm: free time/hike
* 4:45-6:00pm: Yoga (Rose Mary)
Focus: Reconnecting with your very own wisdom
Through a series of poses related to the goddess pose, we’ll embody the yin (the feminine energy) and the yang (the masculine energy) we each carry within ourselves to reconnect to our divine wisdom. Divine wisdom is the strength and surety to trust in your own truth and self.
* 6:00-7:00pm: Dinner
* 7:00-8:15pm: Nature offering Despacho/Haywariquy (Stephanie)
Focus: Offered by my hands, known in my heart, living in sacred wisdom
We receive so much wisdom from our earth and all of nature – the mountains, the waters, the plants, the trees, etc. We are so wondrously interconnected. Together we will create beautiful offerings of gratitude and thankfulness to our earth. Gathering flowers, nuts, seeds, and more, this beautiful gratitude ceremony opens the heart and mind to living more fully in our intuition and knowing.
* 8:30-9:45pm: Restorative Yoga and Sound Bath (Rose Mary and Stephanie)
Focus: Cultivating rest to find your wisdom and wholeness
Restorative yoga is “an antidote to stress.” It helps us be more open, present, and energized in our lives, and to transform the way we respond to the conditions within and around us. Slowing down, turning inward, creating space for healing, and deeply listening to our body and heart makes us more compassionate and connected with ourselves, and so we are able to be more compassionate and connected with others and the world around us.
