Uncover Your Deepest Longing | A Himalayan Kriya Yoga and Meditation Retreat
With Svenja Bergmann (Master Teacher, RYT)
August 1 - 3, 2025
Beneath all of life’s experiences, there is a deeper longing—a quiet but persistent yearning to know: Who am I? Why am I? What am I here to do? What is this life all about? Until these questions are answered, a subtle restlessness lingers, an undercurrent that calls us toward something more.
This longing is not a problem to be solved but an invitation—one that leads us beyond the distractions and struggles of daily life and into direct experience of truth.
In this retreat, we will uncover this deep longing that is inherent in every human being. Together, we will journey to the depths of our being—not primarily through intellect, but through direct experience. We will explore how to fuel this longing until it burns so brightly that it dissolves all that stands in the way, bringing us into a state of profound ease, clarity, and awakening.
Activities:
Kriya Yoga: The multilayered techniques of Himalayan Kriya Yoga – involving movement, focused breathwork, mantras, and mudras (sound and gestures) – are rarely found in Western yoga styles. These techniques go beyond physical movement to awaken higher consciousness, elevate energy, and inspire profound personal transformation. Our promise is to present them in a contemporary and approachable manner.
Guided Meditation: Meditation is an integral part of yoga. It supports and enhances all other yogic practices. Without it, other yogic practices cannot reach their optimal desired effects. Regardless of whether you are new to meditation or you are a seasoned practitioner, the technique shared as taught in the Himalayan tradition is comprehensive and effective.
Vedic Fire Ceremony “Yagya”: Yagyas (also called Havana, Homa, or Agni Hotra) are Vedic fire ceremonies that have been used for thousands of years in the yogic tradition to gain intensity around an intention. Yagyas also support us to activate our inner fire, to burn up unresolved conflict and worries, and to purify our energy and emotions. Working with a specific mantra in combination with the fire creates a certain elemental reverberation in you as well as in the environment.
Wisdom Talk: Engage in a profound Satsang where ancient yogic wisdom meets modern life. These sessions are not just about learning but about awakening. Through inquiry and reflection, we dissolve existential restlessness, awakening to a clarity that is not learned but lived. This is not just knowledge—it is a shift in perception, an inner transformation that feeds the longing to truly know.
Further Activities: Forest bathing, enjoying yummy soul-nourishing food, chillaxing in an air chair or at the pond, and personal time for reading, napping, or connecting with fellow retreaters….
This retreat is thoughtfully designed to be inclusive and accessible to individuals with varying levels of mobility and physical fitness. While some prior yoga experience is recommended, all practices are adaptable to different experience levels. You are welcome to participate in as many or as few sessions as you wish, honoring your personal needs and energy levels.

What Svenja’s Students say:
“I had a bit of a doubt when I first started working with Svenja because of her youth. But then I realised once I started working with her, she’s only young from the outside. She’s very wise, she knows what she does and she’s very connected with some source of knowledge and wisdom.” – Adriana (58)
“Even for someone who has been a yoga practitioner for over a decade, with every single practice I learned from her, there was something new. That’s a real gift.” – Brad (37)
“You don’t know yoga until you’ve tried Svenja’s yoga! One of the biggest benefits I received from doing her classes is actually just knowing myself. And that has been such a ripple effect in my entire life in general, where I’m seeing improvements in everything.” – Chao (39)
