What to Expect: To help deepen your retreat experience, Elohee does not provide televisions or internet access (unless you bring your own hotspot). Cell phone service is excellent for AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. Your car will be left in a secured parking lot, and you will be shuttled up to your room upon arrival and shuttled back down to your car at departure. Shuttle service to your car is available at any time. All facilities at the top of the mountain are within a 5 minute walk of each other, with some gravel roads. 2 cottage rooms are ADA compliant, and all cottage rooms are on ground level.

Price includes the course fee, room, meals, and grounds fee but does not include taxes. Full price is shown upon selection of room type prior to registering. A 40% deposit is due at the time of registration with full payment due 2 weeks prior to the retreat start date. Step into the new year with intention, clarity, and heart. Roots & Wings is a soul-nourishing weekend retreat designed to help you ground into your inner truth while rising into your highest vision for the year ahead.

Held at the breathtaking Elohee Retreat Center in the Blue Ridge Mountains, during a full moon, this immersive weekend blends yoga, somatic movement, guided meditation, sound immersion with Tibetan Singing Bowls, Symphonic Gong, Hang Drum, sacred cacao, creative expression, nature connection, and authentic community. You’ll be supported in letting go of what no longer serves you and gently guided to call in what you most deeply desire for 2026.

Through a mix of guided sessions and spacious free time, you’ll reconnect with your body, reset your nervous system, and leave feeling rooted, renewed, and inspired.

What to Expect:

  • Expert Guidance: Led by seasoned yoga teachers Chris Anne and Jason Coviello, each with decades of experience in yoga, somatic healing, sound therapy, and transformational facilitation.
  • Immersive Practices: Daily yoga, breathwork, and somatic movement sessions designed to reconnect you with your body and inner wisdom.
  • Sound Healing: Experience the soothing vibrations of Tibetan Singing Bowls, a Symphonic Gong, and a Hang Drum to support deep rest and integration.
  • Heart-Opening Cacao Ceremony: Engage in a guided cacao experience to awaken the heart, calm the mind, and deepen your connection to self and community.
  • Creative Expression: Participate in guided art, journaling, and visioning practices to clarify your intentions for the new year.
  • Nature Connection: Explore over four miles of hiking trails, discover a stunning 100-foot waterfall, and enjoy the serenity of the surrounding forest.
  • Healing Spaces: Spend time in Mandala Hall, a beautiful round building infused with healing energy and relax in the 24-hour Tea House for journaling, reading, or quiet reflection.
  • Nourishing Meals: Savor delicious, nutritious meals prepared with care, accommodating various dietary preferences.

Friday

  • 3:00 pm – 4:00pm- Check in
  • 4:30 pm – 6:00pm- Arrive & Root-Opening Circle-Welcome the weekend with grounding practices, gentle movement, journaling, and heartfelt connection to help you arrive fully and land in retreat space. 
  • 6:00 pm – 7:00pm- Dinner
  • 8:00 pm – 9:00pm- Sound Immersion: Settle and Soften- End the evening with a deeply relaxing sound immersion with Tibetan Singing Bowls, a Symphonic Gong, and a Hang Drum to calm the nervous system and support deep rest. 

Saturday

  • 7:30 am – 8:00 am Guided Morning Meditation
  • 8:00 am – 9:00 am Breakfast
  • 9:00am-10:30am Free time/Optional Massage or Spa Treatments-Enjoy this spacious window to rest, journal, walk or just be. 
  • 10:30 am – 12:00 pm Somatic Movement, Yoga & Embodied Intention Setting- Flow through grounding practices in this embodied session blending mindful movement & mediation to help you align with the energies of release and expansion as you prepare to step into the new year. 
  • 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm Lunch
  • 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm-Free Time/ Individual Forest Bathing/Optional Spa Treatments/Rest- Wander this sacred land in silence, take a solo nature walk, receive bodywork, or rest in stillness-whatever your nervous system needs. 
  • 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm-Cacao Ceremony & Heart Opening Experience-Sip ceremonial grade cacao in a guided journey designed to awaken the heart, calm the mind, and deepen your connection to self and community. In gratitude and presence this shared experience invites movement, stillness, connection to yourself, to others, and to the grounded clarity and uplifted vision that give you roots and wings. 
  • 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm Dinner
  • 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm-Fireside Full Moon Connection & Sharing Circle-Gather around the fire under the full moon for reflection, release, and soulful connection.
  • 8:30 pm – 9:30 pm – Sound Immersion Bath- Close the day with the calming sounds of Tibetan Singing Bowls and the Symphonic Gong designed to support the parasympathetic nervous system and deep integration.

Sunday

  • 7:30 am – 8:00 am Guided Morning Meditation
  • 8:00 am – 9:00 am Breakfast
  • 9:00 am – 9:30 am Pack up/Outdoor Walk
  • 9:30am-12:00pm-Integration Workshop: Movement, Art, Vision, & Sound. A multi-part closing session blending gentle yoga, guided art, visioning practices, meditation, sharing, and a final sound bath. We’ll root your intentions and prepare you to rise into the new year with clarity and heart.
  • 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm Lunch and check-out

Chris Anne, podcast host of Pathways, is a certified yoga and meditation teacher, massage therapist, Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner, Reiki Master, and sound healer trained by a 3rd-generation Tibetan bowl master. She’s currently earning her MSW and is devoted to supporting healing in others.
