Spend a weekend in the mountains this summer exploring inner space with Kirtan, guided Yoga Nidra meditation, a Sound Bath Immersion, and Yin Yoga with Live Ambient Music.

Featuring Ian Boccio on Bass, Gershone Hendelberg on Keyboards, Flavia Krishna on percussion, Douglas Johnson on Guitar, Margo Gomes on Bowls and Gongs, and Matt McKenny on Drums, Vibes, and Synth, this will be a Kirtan Summer Camp unlike any other on Earth!

The musicians and sound healers on this retreat all have a few things in common; a gift for using sound to heal and uplift—a passion for the ancient practice of Kirtan—and a love of the ’60s and ’70s psychedelic music that they grew up listening to—like Pink Floyd and The Grateful Dead. Mix all three, and what do you get? Kirtan Space Camp!

Imagine hours of spinning and dancing while chanting to Durga, Rama, Kali, and Shiva interspersed with ambient soundscapes and long instrumental jams, and you begin to understand why we called it Kirtan Space Camp and not Kirtan Summer Camp. BTW, you can leave the drugs and alcohol at home as you really won’t be needing them on this retreat!

Other ways in which we will explore inner space are with an opening ceremony led by Flavia, a sound bath led by Margo, and an extended Yin Yoga class led by Douglas with live ambient music by Matt featuring the vibraphone and synthesizer. Douglas, an E-RYT 500, YACEP, and Certified Advanced Amrit Method Yoga Nidra Facilitator, will also lead us through daily guided Yoga Nidra meditations, one basic, one advanced, and one for our inner child.

The retreat will conclude with a community kirtan jam session on Sunday, where everyone gets to join in, so please bring your musical instruments!

And don’t forget you will enjoy many lovingly prepared meals, excellent service, and the first-rate accommodations that Elohee is famous for, all included in the price.

Imagine all this set in the beautiful Appalachian mountains, and you have the makings for a summer weekend that is out of this world! That weekend is Kirtan Space Camp.
