Two day, intimate immersion for nurses intended to recognize our shared humanity and discuss actionable strategies to process trauma, rebuild psychological safety, and sustain emotional well-becoming for individuals who provide care and the organizations that support them.

Cumulative trauma occurs within all healthcare specialities, especially those who are frequently exposed to high-stress situations, adverse events, and the emotional distress of patients and families.

Group debriefing plays a vital role in mitigating the effects of cumulative trauma by providing a structured opportunity for acknowledgment, discussion, and processing. It helps clinicians to regain a sense of internal safety, normalize their experiences, and access mental health resources.

By addressing the cumulative impact of caregiving, debriefing supports the well-becoming of clinicians, allowing them to continue providing compassionate and effective care.

This full day small group training is designed for clinical implementation of group debriefings led by staff, leaders, managers, directors, hospital-based unit educators, risk management, academic clinical + simulation faculty.

We invite you to be part of the solution – to reimagine debriefing by joining learning outcomes focused on quality and psychological safety as a means to foster retention, well-being and safety for staff and patients alike.

Join Debriefing the Front Lines and Your Birth Partners for this one of a kind immersion

  • Reconnect with the things that brought you into healthcare
  • Collectively reimagine how to care for yourself in this work
  • Learn how to facilitate clinical debriefings using the ADPRN Debriefing Framework

All while being gently held through this work in the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
