Sonya Phillips

Sonya began practicing yoga in 2012 under Master Woo Yun in Centreville, VA. She
began teaching yoga at the Namoo Yoga Center in Centreville, VA in 2014. She
completed her Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) 200 in 2016 at Yava Yoga, in Fairfax,
VA, and her 300 Hour Advanced Teacher Training in 2020 at Peachtree Yoga Center in Sandy Springs, GA. Sonya is certified in multiple specialty yoga modalities including
Hatha, Restorative, Yin, Aerial, Chair, Integrative Somatic Yoga (ISY), and Yoga Nidra.
She is also a certified Mindfulness Meditation instructor.

Sonya currently teaches at Giving Tree Yoga in Smyrna, GA, Peachtree Yoga Center in
Sandy Springs, GA, and at Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta Support Services Center in
Brookhaven, GA. She also volunteers with The Georgia Transplant Foundation
teaching organ transplant patients and family members chair yoga and meditation, and a member of the Atlanta Yoga Fellowship. Her Yoga Alliance certifications include
Educator-RYT 200 (E-RYT 200), RYT 500, and a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education
Provider (YACEP).
