Julie Newton
Julie is a registered dietitian specializing in gastrointestinal health and a yoga instructor with over 25 years of personal practice and 12 years of teaching experience. She offers an integrative approach that bridges nutrition, movement, and mindfulness to support the body as an interconnected system.
Her teaching is rooted in the belief that yoga is not just something we practice on the mat, but a way of navigating daily life with strength, flexibility, and awareness. She sees the practice as a way to support our needs in life, offering mindfulness when we need it in all that we do. Julie creates space for students to slow down, tune in, and develop a deeper relationship with their internal landscape.
In recent years, her work has evolved to bring together GI nutrition and yoga through the lens of the gut-brain connection. Her classes emphasize grounding, intention, and the practice of observing sensations and thoughts as challenges arise, cultivating a more open line of communication between body and mind.
Students can expect a supportive, thoughtful environment that encourages curiosity, self-trust, and sustainable practices both on and off the mat.
