Explore the yogic path of love and devotion on this weekend retreat in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains. This immersion is for anyone who wants to embody, invite, or feel more love.

On this retreat, we will dive deeply into the heart of one of the primary practices of Bhakti or devotional yoga, Kirtan. Kirtan is the yoga practice of call-and-response singing or chanting of ancient mantras embodying aspects of divine love that live within us and in all things.

We will also use the practice of Sankalpa (intention) and Yoga Nidra (sleep meditation) to help us see and embody divine love in every moment of our lives. Finally, we will use some Yin Yoga Asanas (yoga postures) to help us relax, making the mind more receptive to the other practices.

All practices will be led by Yogi Douglas Johnson E-RYT 500. Douglas has studied and played Kirtan with modern masters like David “Durga Das” Newman, Jai Uttal, Sean Johnson, and Mirambi Moon. He has also studied Vedic mantras with internationally acclaimed author and teacher Russill Paul.
