Houses of the Heart explores ways of listening deeply to the richest parts of our experience and intuition. This retreat is about awakening our awareness of the intelligence that resides in our heart and learning how to be guided by its wisdom. We emphasize direct, embodied contact with our innate wisdom.

In Houses of the Heart, we will build a mandala outdoors that we will walk within, being guided by facilitators. We will visit the four houses of the heart, allowing our bodies to help us discover our strengths and weaknesses, our allies and shadows, and incorporate them to become our medicine to the world.

Wild Communion grew out of the forest therapy movement into further training for guides and even further into education for lay and church leaders; each wanting to reach and lead their participants, congregations and communities into a different level of understanding of place and self. Our retreats or immersions, as we call them, are for anyone who is interested.

-Forest therapy guides are invited to take a series of immersions combined with a practicum in order to receive an advanced certification.
-Lay leaders, church leaders and guides can also go through a series of immersions, with a practicum that relates to founding a wild church or community.

We welcome everyone who is interested in the embodied and contemplative practices we implement in forest therapy. The transformative experiences of relationship with the natural world await!
