Deepening Into Peace and Quiet - A Mindful Weekend Retreat
With Linda Davis, MSW, RYT
April 28 - 30, 2017
Enjoy the beauty and splendor of the north Georgia mountains and allow them to replenish and support you as you travel your spiritual path. Come rediscover the quiet and still place at the center of your being where your true self resides – a realm full of gentle knowing, deep peace, and happiness. If you’re longing to get away from the fast pace of the world, we invite you to take this time to turn inward to soothe and nurture body, mind, and spirit. Our silent retreat at Elohee Center will provide you with gentle guidance and a beautiful, nurturing environment for deep rest and renewal.
Our time together will include:
- Sitting and Walking Mindful Meditation (with clear instructions)
- Joyful , Gentle Yoga
- Deep Relaxation
- A Fire Circle
- Time at the Mountain Top Hot-Tub and pool
- A Mindful Nature Walk
- Mandala drawing
- Optional Massage Therapy
- Yoga Nidra **
- Social Silence (with time for dialog, sharing and Q & A)
**Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice where you experience very deep levels of inner relaxation. Before beginning your journey inward, we’ll take time for you to consider your heart’s deepest longing, which you will carry with you to your innermost self. Here you will be able to rest, restore and tap into new sources of energy, joy and wisdom. Here also you will allow your heart’s longing to be seeded and begin to blossom. This transformative practice will awaken your whole being, allowing you to enjoy life more fully….and all you have to do is lie down and listen.
Your retreat will be supported by gracious accommodations at Elohee Retreat; delicious, wholesome meals, star-gazing, woods-walking, porch-sitting, fire-gazing and plenty of time for rest and reflection.
The pace of our weekend is slow and gentle. You don’t need experience in Yoga or Meditation or Drawing. People with all levels of experience will feel quite comfortable.
What to bring: comfortable, layered clothing and any personal meditation or yoga things you may have. (We have extras). Also bring swimming attire for mountain-top hot-tub.
What not to bring: Please do yourself a favor and “un-plug” for the weekend. Also, remember that some people are sensitive to fragrances so leave those behind as well.
